My Little Munchkin

(A new sleeping position...it really doesn't seem very comfy. She seems to think otherwise!)

Cara and I had a fabulous day today with Kimberly. It's so nice to have a nice happy baby. We went and saw our other friend who just had her baby, and boy was that little girl small!! She was only a couple ounces lighter that Cara was when she was born, but it just didn't seem like Cara was ever that tiny! Cara looked like a brute next to Rayna. It's so fun to see how she really has grown. I have to agree with everyone who has said it...time really does pass by quickly! Here are a couple of shots from this morning.

Pretending to sleep....

Realizing I know she's awake...

My happy baby

Cara's first clippy

Her "seriously, the camera again?" look.

It's a little bit of a chunk picture, but she is so happy, I had to take the shot!
So, after an excruciating night of crying and fussing, I thought Cara was going to be one of those intesly fussy babies that always needed to be held. I finally had to put her in her crib and just let her scream it out. She defenitly did that! After a good long while, she seemed to have calmed down a little bit, so I went up and got her. I brought her down to feed her, and she started all over again. I draped her across my legs and she passed out. I thought "Yay, I'll go put her in her crib for the night". Yeah, that wasn't happening. I laid her down and she immediatly started screaming again. I let her go for a little bit then brought her downstairs again. After the screaming bit, she calmed down and fell asleep. I am so very happy to say she slept for 7 hours straight! She has been the happiest baby today ever!! She woke up, not crying, and jsut kind of snuffled around for about a half hour, then I fed her. She is now officially bumped up to 6 oz every feeding. She slurped her bottle right down and was just content and smiley. She fell back asleep for a couple of hours and I ran a few errands with her. We got back home and she ate, almost 5 hours after eating this morning. This is such a difference from the last week! She has been eating, like, every two hours. It's been crazy. She is finally acting like a normal formula fed baby. I am so happy! She now just fell asleep for her afternoon nap and I am going to take one with her. I just wanted everyone to know I got 7 straight hours of sleep last night, and it felt great!

Bathtime Baby

Cara was so smiley yesterday right before bathtime. I just love it when she smiles at me!!

This is Cara grabbing onto me for dear life. She was sleeping at the time, but just didn't want to be put down. That was a long day! :)

My happy little bug

Well, my happy baby is back! After a miserable day yesterday, Cara woke up bright eyed and bushy-tailed this morning. I am so very happy.

This was a little bit of an up the nose shot.....

Kitty and Baby

So Gratch is finally overcoming his annoyance with Cara. He will sometimes come up and sit by me when I'm holding her now. He still doesn't stay too long, and only really looks at her. He pretty much steers clear of her.

Gratch is in love with this toy thingy. He goes to bat at the stuffed animals all the time! He looks longinly at it from afar when Cara is laying under it!

I couldn't resist taking one shot of Cara sleeping (finally not on me!!). She has been a little clingy today, and this is the first time I've been able to put her down without her waking up and crying. I think she might be growing or something. Who knows! I just know that her cute chubbiness is so adorable, I had to take a picture of it!

Tootin'

I really can't help but take pictures of her...She's just so darn tootin' cute!!
(I mean the tootin' part quite literally!!)

I Love This Kid!!

Happy Easter!

So, Cara has started cooing! It's just so adorable. I hung these little toys above her head the other day, and she totally talks to them! I just love it. She will sit there and smile at the Eeyore hanging down. She seems to like that best for now.
On another bright note...our sleeping throught the night plan is starting to work out! Blake went to night shift the night before last, so I decided that that was a good time to start Cara sleeping in her crib at night. Last night was our second night on this new schedule, and I have to say, I think it went quite well. She fell asleep on her own around 10pm, so I just let her sleep until she woke up, which was around 330am. She took a bottle and went back to sleep until 6. I think we are defenitly on the right track. I am loving having a schedule.
One last little note...It has been snowing for the last couple of days, however, nothing has stuck...until last night, that is! I came downstairs this morning at 6am and the snow was so beautiful. A perfect Easter morning! Happy Easter to you all!!

Just a few shots :)

Cara is in such a good mood tonight!
This one is for Dad. We think she has his tongue.
It's just amazing the different looks she can have :)It was so cold that we bundled her up in this adorable little suit! I just love the bear look!!
I am trying to figure out how it can snow pretty much constantly for two days straight and yet, there is no snow on the ground...very strange. The weather here in Germany is defenitly something we havn't ever expierenced yet. It snows hard for about ten minutes, then rains, then hails, then snows again, followed by the sun coming out to play for an hour, the the whole cycle will start all over again. At least I got to see some pretty snowfall before our winter ended for sure. We are definitly enjoying it while it lasts!

Happy St. Patricks Day!

I just love my little girl. We tried on her easter dress today. I just love it. I got it from my dear friend Ruth. I've been waiting and waiting to try it on her! I also tried on the little boots that her Grammy Teri got her. These are the cutest boots ever! There was a chance of snow today, so we got all dressed up and ready for it. Of course it didn't snow, but Cara was cute and ready for it just in case! Happy St. Patricks Day to everyone too! Cara didn't really have an outfit for this holiday. Oh well! I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
