A Discussion with Baby
Baby and I have had our first discussion. Yes, the baby really can't communicate with me, but he/she has fully functioning ears now. We talked about how much he/she should weigh at birth. We seem to have a trend with Krista and Missy. Bigger babies are in! I told the baby I would be so very happy if it were between 8 and 9 pounds. I'm not sure how much baby actually understood and comprehended...but I'm hoping we have an understanding! :)

Ok Becky I know exactly what you are going through! I am already talking to my baby about that too. Except I am on the other end... after having Leah (a 8 lbs 12 oz'er) I want this baby to be SMALLER! It was very hard delivering such a big baby... and I hope this one will be smaller this time! But I hope it goes well for you! It's such fun "talking" to our babies isn't it? :) Its great when they are born, they turn right towards your voice! So sweet! :)
I hope for your sake that you have a small baby! I was shocked when I found out the birth weights of Krista and Missy's babies. It is kind of intimidating, I'm sure!

I'm Jessica's friend Ashley, and I just had a baby 10 weeks ago (man, time flies!)
DON'T believe that the size of your baby is ALL genetics! My husband's mom had 8 - 9 lb. babies, and my mom had generally about 8 lb babies (I was her smallest at about 7 1/2 lbs.) My sister had a baby about 4 months before me, and he was almost 9 lbs, and I got scared because I was HUGE before I delivered (if you don't believe me, ask Jess...she'll tell you!!) I had a 7 lb 2 oz baby...and he was just perfect! So keep that positive thinking going! My little boy Philip is now 10 lbs 14 oz, and is PERFECT! He's a great eater and is very healthy and happy as a result!
I pray for you often that your pregnancy continues to go well-both physically and mentally. It is such a wonderful experience, but something so totally different than anything that you could ever comprehend until you go through it! I am so happy that you've been blessed with a healthy baby! You're half way through you're pregnancy, but enjoy the rest. A part of you (the crazy part!!) will miss being pregnant when it's over.
Keep talking to your baby! You'll be amazed at how the baby will recognize your voice as soon as it is born.

Hello mama becky...I am in that infant development class..anyway I just learned that babies really feel what you are saying through your emotions ...so you have to call me after the ultrasound i need to know what the sex is too!!call on my cell...5303633586!! love you and my prayers are with you guys!! love me
I can't wait to find out what you're having.... It will be interesting to see how big he or she will be too. Mine were like 7'11 and 7'7. However, I was 7 even and my brother was 10'8. Hmmm.... regardless, I can't wait to meet my little niece or nephew!
