Look at what a person can make with a cloth shower curtain and a set of old curtains. My mom completly rocks!!!

More pics
So, the only thing I really need now for Cara's awsome room are her curtains and her tinkerbell rug. We are on night number two in the toddler bed. Last night was a loooooong night. She didn't get out of bed at all, however, she did wake up and cry every hour, sometimes twice in an hour. She is teething massivly, so that may have been the problem. I am really hoping that is just the case. I really don't think that it will take too long to get her toddler bed trained....hopefully by the time Alex gets here. As I get more rooms done in the house, I will post more pictures!

Teething
So, besides of recovering from shots, this adorable little girl is getting three molars!! We are also starting toddler bed training today. I say we....so far it's Mother doing everything. I am so glad she is here to help.
P.S.
Bud, I am totally going to take pictures....I just want to get everything mostly in it's place! They are coming, though, very soon :)

36 1/2 Weeks
Well, today I had my 36 week appointment and Cara FINALLY had her 12 month well baby check up. I am measuring at 35 weeks and didn't gain any weight this last month. Alex's heartbeat was right where it should be and he is defenitly head down. I am really hoping that I don't have to wait until 41 weeks to deliver!
Cara is doing fabulous. She weighs 24 pounds and is 31 inches tall. She had to get 5 shots!! Besides of the technician not really doing a fantastic job, it went okay. It was sad, though!!!! I made the mistake of actually watching the needle go into her flesh. I almost had a few tears, but I was strong. Her poor little legs will be sore tomorrow, though. She is right on track with everything developmentally. Her next appointment is at either 15 or 18 months. It will be interesting to see where she is at then!

A New Home
So we are officially moved into our new home. Yes, we are still in Germany. We just moved on base. It is fabulous so far. I love the HUGE american fridge, the dishwasher (which I havn't actually used yet) and the american plugs. I love that we are 4 minutes from the BX and commisary and I love that I now have two bathrooms. There are downsides to our new place, but I think the pro's most emphaticly outweigh the con's. I may change my mind a few months down the road as I am lugging two children up three flights of stairs.....but that's then. This is now and I love it! I don't have pictures to put up yet, but I will.
Okay, so onto Cara news....She is so fabulous! She took her first wobbly steps the day before her birthday and now, she doesn't crawl at all. She walks absolutly everywhere! She has tried to run, but that ends up with her nose flat against the floor. She finally says Momma. She has been saying kitty and Daddy for awhile, but never momma. I was so happy to hear it!! She also has "words" for juice and shoe. It kind of sounds like juice...but more like "doooo". Shoe sounds like kitty. This is logical as the kitty has his strings that he plays with and shoe laces look just like his strings. She now calls shoes kitty...and will chase him around with the shoe. He pretty much hates it. She is completly off of her bottle now. She weaned herself, which was awesome. She weighs 23 pounds and is 31 inches tall. She dropped to the 60th percentile for weight and is above the 95th for height. She is just doing fabulous.
I am now 36 weeks pregnant. It is hard to believe that I have only a month left. I am hoping less than a month, but it seems that in our family, we tend to go overdue....always! I have my next appointment next week and I will be 37 weeks. That's technically full term. It would be so awesome if little Alex would be here then!
It's been so awesome to have my Mother here. Talk about a huge break! She carries Cara up and down the stairs and this morning she even got up with her! I totally got to sleep in. I am so glad she was here for the move. I can see where I would have been completly overwhelmed. We have been in the new place since Wednesday and we have the kitchen completly done and the livingroom almost completly done. I would have been totally lost without her. I get so tired so easily, it's amazing.
Blake is doing so fabulous! On top of the move, he has work, school, a pregnant wife, a one year old daughter and a mother-in-law to deal with! He has been so fantastic. He went out and bought me a wonderful present in the midst of everything. A Wii!! Mother and I took a little unpacking break and played for a bit. We love it.
I will hopefully have pictures to put up tomorrow. I know you all are dying without my daily pictures of Cara!!! I am hoping to get a 36 week pregnant picture up too. That's the plan!!

Happy Birthday Cara!
Mother made the wonderful cake :)
Cara wasn't really aware we were blowing out the candle.
She LOVED the cake!
The fabulous food...yum!
Her new baby.
Some new books...she, of course, loves them :)
Her new Tinkerbell chair!
Her new beautiful ballernia (thanks Jess!!!)
We had such a fabulous day! Cara had such a blast. She loved all of her new toys and books. Her walking is coming along so well! By the end of the day she could get up and walk without any help at all! And, the best thing (in my opinion), she totally calls me Momma now! I tell ya, it's been a big day. I can't believe I have a darling toddler. She is no longer a baby.
Her first moments of life...how long ago that was.

Tomorrow!!
We are so excited!!! Mimi gets here tomorrow morning! I am so excited for my Mother to get here. It's going to be so wonderful! It will be nice to have help with the chunko I call Cara. We have her 12 month well baby appointment tomorrow. I will defenitly post all of her stats :) Well, I'm off to change, what seems to be, the stinkiest diaper ever!!!

Bedhead!!
So this little peanut always has the funniest bedhead. Her hair just doesn't lay flat if it's been up in a pony! It makes me laugh. On a completly different side note....Why is it that babies always poo AFTER you change the diaper?? I wait until after we eat breakfast in the mornings, just to give her time to do her buisness and she doesn't. I change her and she immediatly poops. It's very strange.....

My Quilt
Okay, so I started this quilt, like, three years ago. I FINALLY finished it last week! I got so frustrated with the edging and then my sewing machine needle broke. When I finally got a new needle, I was just not motivated to get the thing done. I finally just bucked up and did it. I think it turned out nice for my first quilting experience ever!! I can tell you, though, I don't think I will be making a huge quilt again for awhile. If I do another one, it will be a small one...IF I do another one.

Seriously??
Oh dear....I went to the kitchen to dish up Cara's dinner and this is what I walked back to. Needless to say, she ate absolutly NO dinner. I think she now has an upset tummy as she is super fussy. I should really know better than to leave her by herself, even for a very short time. Maybe she will eat a little something before she goes to bed for the night....Lesson learned.
