A Nice Evening

We had such a nice evening. I love when Cara is in a fabulous mood. I made the BEST fajita's tonight. I have been trying to make them for a year and nothing has turned out so far. Finally tonight it worked!! Blake even had seconds. I was so happy!

We are anxiously waiting for Cara's first birthday so we can open this awesome gift we got in the mail from Auntie Jess, Uncle Craig, Valerie, Elizabeth and Matthew. It's going to be sooooo difficult to wait!

Our day

She loves to drag all of her toys around her so all she has to do is reach, and they'll be there. She's so funny. As you can see from the top picture, Gratch is not always that pleased with her. He can only take it for so long and then he bolts. She, of course, thinks this is a great game!

My Crazy Bug

Her hair just doesn't flatten down overnight. It's wierd. She ends up looking like she has horns in the morning! It's so cute.

Wall-E

Okay, so I watched this movie again tonight (for the third time). I just love it. I would recommend it to anyone. It's just so cute. It's up there with my favorite animated movies ever.

She loves him

I am now third in line for Cara's affections. It goes Blake, Gratch then very last, me. She is so funny. She has all of a sudden become a daddy's girl. She will choose him (or Gratch) over me anytime now. It think it's awesome for Blake...and only a little sad for me!

24 Weeks

We are almost 24 weeks along now. I had an appointment this past Friday and everything is looking fabulous! Alex is measuring right where he should be with a fantastic heartbeat. I am getting more and more excited to meet him, especially after my sister had her little boy. I am amazed at how quickly this pregnancy is going by. When I go in next month for my appointment, I will be in the third trimester. That is just crazy!! Alex is moving around ALL the time now and is getting quite strong. I can feel him on the outside of my belly now. I can't wait to meet him!

Hainging Out

Cara and I are just hanging out on this cold November morning. We are supposed to be getting a lot of snow over the next couple of days. Now, "lots of snow" here is not the same as in northern Minnesota, but it's still something! The germans don't always plow the roads right away...or at all. I am excited! We went grocery shopping this morning to make sure we have everything we need, just in case. We got a little bit of snow yesterday and it never melted. Woo hoo!! We didn't get this cold last year until February. I am so happy!!!

Back to Blogging

We have our computer back! Blake took it with him tdy last minute last week, so we were sadly without...Let me tell you, I went through major internet withdrawal! I thought I would die, but I didn't. Cara and I actually got a ton of stuff done around the house that needed to be caught up on.

Cara turned 9 months old last week. I can't believe how big she is getting. She is now "cruising" the furniture quite well. She can stand by herself for about 4 seconds too. She doesn't realize she's doing it yet. She will grab something off of the table with both hands and let go. It's totally cute. She then panics and falls. Her favorite movie is STILL Bee Movie. We had friends up this weekend, and we watched tons of movies....nothing held her interest at all. It's so strange.

Baby Alex seems to be doing great. I have defenitly "popped" out and look a little pregnant now. I can feel him kicking and moving all the time now, too. I seem to be completly exhausted all the time right now. I don't remember being this tired at this stage with Cara. I guess I didn't have her to run after, though.

We have our Christmas decorations up completly now. I am so happy! I just love Christmas. It's my absolute favorite time of year. I am completly done with the Christmas shopping and everything. Things are wrapped and under the tree, just tempting people to touch them!

We are anxiously awaiting the birth of the newest little Westlund. I had thought Jess would have him by Sunday, but I was wrong. I just can't wait to meet him!! I hope he comes today!!

Back to normal

As of this morning, we are back to normal! I am so happy. Cara had her first normal wet diaper in a week and her attitude is back to her normal happy self. I am so pleased! I am glad Blake got at least one day of her being happy before he left. :)

Cara still isn't back quite back to normal. She's defenitly on the way, though. She hasn't smiled a whole lot these last 5 days. I miss her precious smile. I am hoping it returns soon. I got her the cutest slippers! They did make her want to chew on them. I think they look so cute on her. :)

Feeling Better

I think we are finally feeling better! She actually ate something today and it didn't come back up. I am so happy! She's even drinking her sippy of water too. It's fabulous. As for the pictures...she thinks they are best friends. I'm not sure what Gratch thinks, but he's never far away from her. He growls and whines whenever she even looks at him, but he won't go too far away from her. He bats at her and runs away, then a few minutes later, he's right back where he was. She loves it. She just knows he's hitting her in the head becuase he loves her. I'm sure thats it...

Relaxing

Here we are, watching Bee Movie. I am still not sure what attracts her in this movie, but she just loves it. She is still not feeling too well. She is drinking her bottles, though. Well, half of them, anyway. She threw up her cheerios this morning, so we've just backed off the solids again. She seems to be doing just fine with her formula and little sips of water here and there. She is still a little down today, but she is acting more like herself, which is awesome! I can't wait until we are done with the sickness....

Well, she isn't really doing any better today, but she isn't any worse either. We are on orders to give her clear liquids for a few hours, then call the clinic back to see what to do next. I have to say, she is actually taking sips of water now, which is fabulous! I am just sure that by tomorrow morning, she will be on the road to normal.

Pooping and Vomiting and Smells, Oh My!

Well, Cara is officially sick (and gross). Oh the laundry I've done this last day and a half. It's been just crazy. Thankfully, she isn't throwing up anymore today (so far). Her appetite hasn't returned yet, but I'm sure it will. She still has stuff coming out the other end, though. Man, have I never smelled such stench in my life!!! Poor little girl. I think she's on the upswing, however. She had a handfull of cheerios a little while ago and is playing around, in a happy mood. I am hoping by morning, she'll want her breakfast and everything will be great!

Being Girly

We have been working on being more girly. I want Cara to love "pretties" and dresses and what not, so we are starting young. Here is her skirt for the day. This one is actually a skort type skirt, so it works perfectly. She looks so cute!
