A Fabulous Day!!

Reading a magazine...it doesn't really look like she agree's with what she is reading!
So, we went and checked out base housing today and loved it!! We will be moving in in a couple of weeks. I am so super excited! It is going to be the perfect place for the four of us. I just had to share!!!!!!

We are having such a wonderful couple of days! Cara has been in such a great mood! I love days like this. It's just been wonderful.

33 Weeks

So we are now 33 weeks along. I had my appointment this morning and everything is looking great. I am measuring at 31 weeks and have gained 13 pounds. My doctor did a "mini" ultrasound to check to see if Alex was head down. He totally was! I am so thankful. I don't go in until 36 weeks now and by that time, my mother will be here!! I am just so excited. Life is just moving right along!!

Oh how looks can be deceiving!!!

Training is so difficult. I am not sure why temper tantrums start so young!! Where do they learn it? Cara reminds me of the little poem "There was a little girl"....you know the one. When she was good she was very very good, but when she was bad she was horrid?? Oh yes, this reminds me of Cara. It isn't even that she does anything "wrong" at this point. She just throws fits over the smallest of things, whines for no reason at all, screams when she has to get dressed...or get her diaper changed. We are starting a time out corner and leaving the spanking for outright defiance (which, yes, she totally has at 11 months old!!!). This is difficult to teach too! It does help, though, that when she is in a good mood, it's fabulous! She is just so adorable. She is at the stage where she laughs at everything! She will throw her head back and just belly laugh. It's really just awesome. I know the bad times throughout the day just seem worse because I am 8 months pregnant. She is getting heavier, the baby is getting heavier...the stairs seem steeper, the bathroom seem so much farther away...you know how it is. We've got less than 8 weeks left, then I get to get through that first 6 weeks, then it will all be better! No more super duper tiredness. Well, this kind of seems like a whiney bog. Sorry about that! Life really isn't horrible, I promise! I am just tired and that makes everything seem worse! Here's looking foward to tomorrow and a brand new start to a brand new day :)

Now I will have to watch her every move around Gratch's chair....She has realized how to climb up into it. She needs help with turning around and sitting down, however. She is just so cute!! We have to start nighttime training...again!! She has been waking up in the middle of the night. Grrr...Our houseguests left this morning, so now I won't feel bad letting her just cry and scream in her crib.

We are on the countdown to when my mother gets here!!!!! I just can't wait!It will be so nice to see her. Well, we are off to make lunch! I hope everyone is having a fabulous day!

Reading her book

We are having a fabulous visit with Cassie and her girls. Cara loves them all! She is having a blast with the girls around. Cassie has been helping me get Cara's room ready for Alex. Organizing and what not is sooooooo NOT my strong point in life! I have successfully (with Cassie's help, of course) gone through all of Cara's clothes, toys and other miscellaneous items and made her room a liveable area once again. We are finishing up tomorrow and I will take pictures of it. Next week I have my next baby appointment, then two weeks after that is Cara's birthday, then one month after that Alex gets here. It's all going so quickly!! It will be so wierd to have two little people here in the house......

A Lovely Visit

We had such a lovely visit with Payt and Erica. It's been awhile since we've seen them. When we lived in Texas, Erica was stationed just a couple of hours away, so I got to know her really well. Cara loved them! She learned a new noise from Erica (thanks, by the way!!). She now can scream. Not in a bad "I'm angry" way, but in a fun jubilant (and LOUD) way. Erica had her laughing so hard, it was hillarious!! It was a short couple of days. I hope our next visit with each other is longer!

I finally got a new camera. I love it!! These are some different looks Cara has.

My little girl is 11 months old! I can't believe that I only have one month left before she turns one! We have all the birthday plans made and are just waiting! Our special guest for her birthday is my mom! She will totally be here just in time for it. I am so excited!

After a VERY long night, we seem to be on track with naps and what not today. Cara is still not really eating anything but fruit, but that's okay. I think that by tomorrow, she should be on the upswing. I had to go buy actual tissue today. We've been using papertowels for the last few days. Now, I buy the soft VIVA paper towels, but that still isn't good enough for a nose! Our two noses are so greatful for the Puffs I got today!!

On side note...Blake dressed Cara this morning and commented on the fact that she has a ginormous head!! It made me laugh. It's, unfortunatly, a family trait on both sides of the family. I am interested to see what percentile her noggin is in when we go in for her 12 month check up next month. You can be sure I will blog about it!!

Well, it is now 10:30pm and the bug is still awake. She just wails and wails if I lay her down and unfortunatly, her bedroom is right next to ours...where her daddy is sleeping! He is on night shift right now, so he sleeps during the afternoon. Oh, I think this day will never end!!
