More Georgia Pics

We went out for a walk yesterday. I have to say, Jess is the BEST field tripper ever! She pointed out everything for the kids to look at. It was so awesome to see her in "teach" mode. She is rather wonderful.
This would be the only grandson (so far), Isaac. He is such a good little boy. We love him!
Pop decided to babysit Cara at home while we all went to church. We came home to them cuddling. It was adorable. Cara just loves him.
Valerie and Elizabeth just love Cara. I have them alternate days where they get to pick out what she wears and helps me dress her. They love it.
Auntie Amy waited patiently for her turn with the baby.
We played bowling on the Wii last night. I got an awesome score!! I only had two frames where I got a spare, everything else was a strike. If only I could bowl like this in real life....
Bud and Liana. She looks SOOOOO much like him. It's crazy!
Cara zonked out on me.
Elizabeth loves entertaining Cara. I think she will do great when their new little ones shows up.

Cara just playing around
We finally made it to the wonderful USA. We had a pretty decent flight. Cara only had a few fussy moments. It has been so nice hanging out with my family here in Georgia. My sister and brother and thier families are here as well. Cara absolutly loves everyone! It has been fabulous. Other than Cara waking up at 2 in the morning, thinking it's time to wake up, we have been adjusting well. I will defenitly be blogging more about our travels as they occur!

4 Months Old

Well, Cara had her 4 month appointment today. Boy is she a chunk!! She now weighs 16 pounds and is 26.5 inches long. She is over the 95% mark in both catagories. The doc says she is about the size of a normal 5 month old, so she's a little ahead of her game, but since she's proportional, it's totally fine. She is on track developmentally, which is fabulous! Right on track with where she should be. The doc said that since she can still go 3-4 hours between bottles, we don't need to start her on solids quite yet...(we will probably still give her tastes, though). She had her second set of shots today also. Wow, did she scream for those! As you can see from the picture, the effects of the shots havn't kicked in yet. I am assuming we are in for a cranky day tomorrow. She is also suffering from a slight case of cradle cap. It isn't too bad yet, so we don't have to get anything specific, we just have to brush her scalp good while I wash it. We were starting to wonder why she was looking a little lizard-like on the top of her head. This explained it! We now don't have another appointment until the 6 month mark. We will be back from the states just in time for that!!

Rolling around...or rather, trying to :)

Laying on her back, trying to roll over.

Trying to roll the other way.

Finally, she gives up on the rolling and just looks at me.

This picture just turned out wierd, but I like it.

Our fun day

Well, it's Daddy's birthday tomorrow! Now, I bought Blake his present a couple of weeks ago. He got an xbox360. He was quite pleased. Today Cara, Kimberly and I went out and got him and Jason a couple more things. Cara needed to get her daddy something, as did the cat. Jason's birthday is also tomorrow, so we got him a little something as well. Cara was getting a little fussy towards the end, but I think she was just getting too warm. We got home and she was in a fabulous mood. I love it when she's happy! I will post tomorrow about Cara's first birthday with her daddy.

My baby girl

This is my little cutie! She is in a good mood for the moment. She didn't want to nap today, so I'm not anticipating a great evening. Who knows, though. Miracles happen everyday! We are so wishing we were in Georgia with Jess and the girls. They are having such a great time. It seems like 3 weeks is FOREVER away! I am sure it will come soon enough....

We have a winner!

I totally won a game of bingo tonight! It was Swarovski night, so that was just awesome. This little flower pot will go great in my little glass case I have. I just had a wonderful time.

Marseille

Blake got to go to France for shuttle support this time. He had a great time. On their last day there, they got to go sightsee in Marseille. He brought home a piece of the Chateau D'if, which I think is just awesome (he picked off one of the walls)! He said that it isn't quite as intimidating as they make it out to be in The Count of Monte Cristo, but it was still cool.

He also got me this neat shell. It looks like they engraved right into the shell. It's such a pretty color. Blake is so wonderful to bring home great gifts!!

The baby and the kitty

Cara has just recently discovered Gratch. Gratch, however, has been painfully aware of Cara since the day she came home from the hospital. He is lately getting used to her, though. He will come close to her, even when she's awake. She got to pet him a little bit. I had to carefully watch her, though. I didn't want her to grab his hair and stuff it in her mouth. He wouldn't give her a second chance, I don't think.

What a sweetie!

We had a MUCH better day today! It just makes the bad days so much better when she's smiley and wonderful!

A long day...

It was a hard long day today. We had a very cranky baby. I think she has officially started teething. I also think she's developing a temper. NOT FUN! Hopefully it will get better before we leave for the states in a couple of weeks.

Our Storm

We had a wicked thunderstorm with 3/4 inch hail! It was so awesome. We are training her young to be a weather geek. Here she is watching the storm with us. The other pics are of teh massive amounts of water that dumped from the heavens....crazy.
