Today

We had a nice day. Cara had an in-house evaluation on her speech this morning. She is still borderline low with the amount of words she actually speaks, but in all other aspects, she's awesome :) The lady was super nice and said that with us visiting home for a few weeks, that will help Cara out HUGE.
On that note, I cannot WAIT to see everyone at home. We fly out next Wednesday to California for a week, then go on to Minnesota for three weeks. I am so excited! I am not really looking foward to the looooong flight with the two kids...by myself, but it will all be worth it!!

5 Months Old

I can't believe my little sweetheart is 5 months old already! How the time has flown by. He is still the best baby I have ever seen. He is so calm and quiet. He loves to just sit and look around him. He has become quite attached to Cara. She makes him laugh and smile. If we are in an unfamiliar place and Cara leaves his line of sight, he cries. He calms down once he can see her again. It's adorable :) It's just amazing that he has been with us for only 5 months. It seems as if he has always been here. I can't wait for Blake to see him and get to know him!! Alex will have changed so much while he was gone. He was barely two months old when Blake left. It's crazy! To sum everything up, Alex is adorable and doing fabulous. He is sweet and calm and perfect!!!

18 Months Old

I can't believe my baby girl is a year and a half old already!!! She is doing fabulous.

Weight: 27 lbs (75-90%)

Height: 34 inches (95%)

She is right where she should be in everything but speech. She falls on the extreme low end of normal in what kids her age should be talking and what not so they want her to go see the speech specialists. I am pretty sure she is just a late talker, but you never know. I figure it can't really hurt, right?? She defenitly communicates what she wants or needs, she just doesn't use her words. She'll get it, though :) She did really well getting her one shot. It was the tetanus shot. She insisted on having two stickers after they were done, though. It was funny!

I wish that I could have got a close up of her eyes. They looked like they almost had a hint of green. It was probably just the shirt. They look pretty blue in the picture :)

This is my latest bingo win....a Longaberger basket! I can't believe that it sells at $80!! I am so happy to have won it :)

He has discovered his tongue :) It sticks out ALL the time now. I remember that once Cara discovered her tongue, it came out of her mouth and never went back in. It will be interesting to see if Alex's stays stuck out all the time :)
