My two munchkins, who yes pick out their own clothes, and who also kinda grimace at the camera at times.....
The kids had so much fun during fireweek at school! The week ended with the fire department sending out a firetruck to the school :) They learned so much: How to dial 911 in case of an emergency, how to Stop-Drop-and Roll, how not to be afraid of the firefighters when they come in to rescue you. Alex really really learned that you feel a door to see if it is hot, and if it is, then you have to climb out a window to escape the fire.....He loves that rule! Cara keeps bugging me now to come up with a meeting place outside in case of a fire. Maybe fires will replace tornados in her journal now......If you haven't heard about her journal, it's quite amusing! Maybe I will do a blog on that :)
One other amusing note...when the firefighter had all of his gear on in the classroom, Alex turned and looked at me and stated "He sounds JUST like Darth Vader!" Makes a mother's heart proud :)

I adore your kids! We too got to look at the fire station here and Elizabeth & Matthew even got to RIDE in the fire truck! I (like a terrible Mom) FORGOT my camera! It was a fun day....similar to yours!
It took like 7 tries to get the thing to recognize that I wasn't a robot!
