Picture Day!

Well, picture day at school was relatively successful! Alex was not really into smiling, apparently, but that's okay :) And Cara sometimes gets a really wierd smile going on...but that's okay too :) They turned out adorable!!

Zoo Day!

It took Alex awhile to actually let the animals eat out of his bare hand.......
.....but once he did he LOVED it!!!!

Cara was an old pro at this. She just loves the goats, llama's and girraffe's :)

Have you ever seen a white peacock?? I haven't! This guy was beautiful!!!!

Cara and Alex had fun finding the "take your picture here" places in the zoo :)

We had so much fun today!!! We now have season passes good for an entire year, and we are lucky enough to live in a place where the zoo is open 365 days a year! This is going to be an awesome year!!!

The Birthday Party

So, we finally were able to have Cara's birthday party :) Her cake turned out lopsided and a wee bit messy, but she loved it, and that is all that really matters, right? The cupcakes turned out super cute, though. Cara, herself, was in the worst mood ever!!! As you can see from the picture of her on her new bike, she was so sobby, she couldn't even smile for a picture. Thankfully today she is in a much better mood. She did have a fun time, but she was very sad when all the "babies" kept touching her new toys. Oh boy, what lessons we have to learn about sharing!!!!

I just can't believe I have a four year old now. It is crazy!!! This little person has been part of our lives for four years. She is turning into such a unique person. Her brain works in such amazing ways :) I can't wait to see how she changes in this next year!

Cara's Birthday

Today turned out better than expected. Last night, Cara woke up around midnight complaining her ear hurt. Poor little girl. I gave her some meds and waited for them to kick in....they never did. By 1245 she was just laying on the couch whimpering. I decided that with her being all wierd and sick this entire past week, I should just take her into the ER. She ended up with ear infections in BOTH ears. Poor little girl!!! What a way to start her birthday.

The day turned around, though. We went and got the prescription filled this morning for her meds and then just came back to the house and hung out for the day. Cara was sooooooo ready when Blake finally got home from work to open presents and eat cake!!

The cake was not what I had envisioned to begin with, but it turned out pretty cute for a back up idea.

The day is now ending and I will be putting both kids to bed....very soon :)

Guess who's turning 4??

Can you guess?? There is a little girl who lives here that cannot WAIT for the next eleven days to pass!! Every morning she wakes up, she has a new idea for her birthday party. It's just about the cutest thing ever!!
